EXAM Only - Proctored Examination (training pre-requisite may be required)
|
Non-Licensing STATES - The NORMI CMA and CMR examination(s) are designed to evaluate your knowledge in skills needed to be successful in the mold industry. Though all NORMI examinations are based on training, we do not "teach the exam". Having a copy of the Student Manual for the specific examination enhances your ability to pass the exam with a 70% passing grade as all exams are "Open Book" exams except Texas and New York.
FLORIDA - The State of Florida DBPR Mold-Related Services Board has approved this proctored examination
for licensure as a Florida Mold-Related Services Assessor (MRSA) or Florida Mold-Related Services Remediator (MRSR). As an approved examination provider, NORMI does not require that you take training as a pre-requisite to the taking of this examination but highly recommends it because of the current nature of the information included therein. If you choose to challenge the exam instead of taking a class, please understand that this exam is an open book exam based on the NORMI Student Manual for that exam.
Anyone challenging the examination without training should understand that failure of this examination will require a retest and subsequently incur additional examination fees. This 100 question, 2 hour examination is given at the locations, or LIVE Online on the dates listed after you register. Candidates who successfully pass this examination, and become ACTIVE NORMI Members (Join.NORMI.org), may apply for NORMI Accreditation to represent themselves at www.NORMIPro.com to the public as a Certified Mold Assessor.
NEW YORK - The New York Department of Labor has approved this proctored examination for licensure only after the candidate has completed the required training. At most locations where classes are offered, the candidate may take a second or third examination (Assessor, Remediation Contractor, Remediation Supervisor or Abatement Worker) if the course material for that discipline has been completed.
TEXAS - The State of Texas requires certification after having taken the approved NORMI CMR class. The examination is part of the cost of the class and offered onsite at the end of the 40 hour training.
NOTE: Candidates who successfully pass this examination may apply for NORMI Accreditation to represent themselves at www.NORMIPro.com to the public as a Certified Mold Assessor (CMA), Certified Mold Remediator (CMR) or Certified Mold Worker.
